Cold showers strengthens your willpower.

Feeling down? Tired? Not in the mood? Maybe you should take an ice cold shower.
Cold showers have certainly many benefits, it boosts your immune system and improves circulation, burns fat and its good for skin and hair.
But what happens in your subconscious when you take a cold shower?
Even today, after a few months of doing it regularly I still have to focus or i'll get an excuse.
The moment you decide to take a cold shower you find yourself in a conflict of interests. While you want to take a cold shower for whatever reasons, your subconscious wants to stay at a comfortable temperature, so by going against your subconscious you assert your will power, your stress tolerance increases.
You know what and why you are doing but your subconscious doesn't, which means, while you consciously choose to stay under the cold water, your subconscious has to submit to your conscious will.
Your subconscious takes care of your instincts, it registers your thoughts, actions and emotions creating a sorta of a mechanism of existence that is yourself and every time there is a similar situation it will pull the same triggers for either good or bad outcomes, strengthening the triggers it pulls.
Will power enters when you want to pull different triggers.
I'll leave with the question who is in charge, the part of you who can make rational decisions or the part of you who just reacts to the environment the same way it always did?
